  • Understand and explain the types of heat exchangers, their applications, construction and design.
  • select an appropriate heat  exchanger  for  a particular  application  with  the  thorough knowledge  of  design,  performance characterization  and  advantages  of  the various types of heat exchangers.
  • Use software packages applied for calculating the thermal performance of heat exchangers.

  • Fundamentals of Heat Transfer:

  4. Film coefficients  and  the  overall heat transfer coefficient
