It covers project setup and render pipelines, the XR rig and input, locomotion and comfort, physical interaction and scripting with the XR Interaction Toolkit, VR interfaces, spatial audio and effects, building for Meta Quest, and performance optimisation, through a complete VR fire-safety training scenario. It prepares participants for the Unity Certified User: VR Developer exam.

Fees

Classroom: 3,500 SAR · Online: 2,000 SAR · Corporate groups: quoted separately.

Course Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Understand VR hardware, tracking types and degrees of freedom.

Set up a VR project with the right packages, settings and render pipeline.

Build and test VR experiences with the XR Interaction Toolkit and the simulator.

Implement locomotion techniques with comfort options.

Build physical interactions: grabbing, sockets, doors and buttons.

Script interaction events and haptic feedback in C#.

Design VR interfaces and menus according to best practice.

Add spatial audio and visual effects.

Build for Meta Quest and optimise performance.

Prepare for the Unity Certified User: VR Developer exam.

Training Contents

Module 1: VR Foundations and Project Setup (5 hours)

Virtual, augmented and mixed reality

Headsets, tracking and degrees of freedom

Hands-on headset trial

The Package Manager and XR packages

Project settings and OpenXR

Render pipelines and real-world scale

Module 2: The XR Rig and Locomotion (5 hours)

The XR Origin and tracking origin

Controller input and hand tracking

The XR simulator

Teleport and continuous movement

Snap and smooth turn

Comfort and motion sickness

Module 3: Interaction (5 hours)

Grabbing objects

Sockets and interaction layers

Doors and buttons with joints and poke

Interaction events in code

Haptic feedback

The extinguisher state machine

Module 4: Interfaces, Audio and Effects (5 hours)

VR interface best practice

Wrist menus and follow panels

Spatial audio

Particle effects

The performance cost of effects

Multisensory feedback

Module 5: Building and Optimisation (5 hours)

Building for Meta Quest

Testing on the headset

Latency and frame rate

Texture optimisation

Poly count and level of detail

Lighting and shadows

Module 6: Final Project and Exam Preparation (5 hours)

Completing the fire-safety trainer

Final build

Presentation on the headset

Exam domains and prerequisites

Timed mock exam

Study plan

Target Audience

Graduates of Level 1 of the track

Programmers with good C# experience

Unity Engine developers moving into virtual reality

Developers of training and simulation applications

Trainers and companies building VR training for safety and operations

Engineers and designers who want to build interactive VR experiences

["post-39230","courses","type-courses","status-publish","hentry","infinite-scroll-item","no-featured-image-padding
["GET
