Programme Overview<\/h3>\n

A two-day programme for finance and accounting professionals at every level of the CFO function. It covers how AI is reshaping financial planning and analysis, accounting, controllership, treasury, internal audit and reporting. Participants build practical skills with AI tools for financial modelling, analysis, report drafting and audit preparation, and learn to apply AI within the governance boundaries of SOCPA, the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), ZATCA and SDAIA. The hands-on work uses anonymized financial datasets and realistic close, budgeting and analysis scenarios.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Learning Objectives<\/h4>\n

By the end of this programme, participants will be able to:<\/p>\n

  • Describe how AI is reshaping the finance function across accounting, FP&A, controllership, treasury and audit.<\/li>\n
  • Use AI tools for financial analysis, forecasting, variance investigation and management-report drafting.<\/li>\n
  • Apply AI to the close, accounting consolidation and board-report preparation.<\/li>\n
  • Evaluate the AI features embedded in fintech and ERP solutions for technical fit and controls.<\/li>\n
  • Recognise and mitigate risks, including hallucination, data leakage and control failure in AI-supported finance.<\/li>\n
  • Apply SOCPA, SAMA, ZATCA, the PDPL and SDAIA considerations to AI use in finance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/section>\n

    Day 1: The finance landscape and AI in financial practice<\/h5>\n

    Module 1: <\/span>AI in Finance & Accounting<\/div>\n

    How AI is reshaping the CFO function. The shift from manual processing to analytical and advisory work. Where AI has matured (narrative, analysis, anomaly detection) and where it is still maturing (judgement, regulatory interpretation). The Saudi regulatory landscape for finance and accounting.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    Module 2: <\/span>AI Tools in Financial Practice<\/div>\n

    Practical work with AI assistants for financial modelling, variance analysis, management narrative, reconciliation and board reporting. Prompt engineering for financial accuracy. A tour of AI-enhanced ERP, EPM and close-management systems.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    Day 2: AI-supported finance and responsible practice<\/h5>\n

    Module 3: <\/span>AI-Supported Analysis, Forecasting & Risk<\/div>\n

    Scenario modelling, forecasting and anomaly detection with AI. Combining AI output with professional judgement and materiality thresholds. A group exercise on a realistic close or forecasting scenario supported by AI.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    Module 4: <\/span>Governance, Audit & Responsible AI in Finance<\/div>\n

    Control design when AI sits within the finance workflow. Audit-trail and explainability requirements. SOCPA, SAMA and ZATCA considerations. The PDPL and financial-data sovereignty. Applied capstone project: each participant designs a controlled AI use case for one of their finance processes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

    Target audience:<\/strong>\u00a0Accountants, financial analysts, financial controllers, FP&A professionals, treasury specialists, internal auditors, CFO-office staff and finance business partners in government, banking, energy, industry and large enterprises. The programme suits holders of CA, CPA, CMA, ACCA and SOCPA certifications.<\/p>\n

    Prerequisites:<\/strong>\u00a0Working knowledge of finance or accounting. Spreadsheet literacy. No prior background in AI or programming is required.
