Recognize how the Code addresses hazardous materials.<br \/>\n&#8211; Locate and interpret requirements within the Code and learn how to extract applicable provisions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Target Audience:<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; Fire safety engineers and specialists in both public and private sectors.<br \/>\n&#8211; Operations and maintenance personnel.<br \/>\n&#8211; Project management engineers.<br \/>\n&#8211; Civil Defense officers and personnel.<br \/>\n&#8211; Administrative requirements and regulations.<br \/>\n&#8211; Definitions of key terms and provisions of the Saudi Fire Code.<br \/>\n&#8211; Building occupancy classification per the Saudi Building Code.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 2:<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; General fire safety requirements in buildings:<br \/>\n(Combustible waste \u2013 Open flames \u2013 Powered industrial trucks and equipment \u2013 Unoccupied buildings \u2013 General storage \u2013 Outdoor storage).<br \/>\n&#8211; Emergency planning and preparedness:<br \/>\n(Emergency reporting requirements \u2013 Emergency preparedness requirements \u2013 Fire evacuation plan \u2013 Fire safety plan \u2013 General safety plan for large gatherings and events \u2013 Emergency evacuation drills and models \u2013 Staff training and drills \u2013 Hazard communication).<br \/>\n&#8211; Firefighting services:<br \/>\n(Fire department vehicle access requirements \u2013 Water supply sources \u2013 Fire command center \u2013 Wireless radio coverage for emergency response).<br \/>\n&#8211; Building services and systems:<br \/>\n(Electrical safety \u2013 Elevator recall requirements \u2013 Fuel-powered appliances and equipment installed inside buildings \u2013 Cooling systems).<br \/>\n&#8211; General requirements.<br \/>\n&#8211; Automatic sprinkler systems.<br \/>\n&#8211; Alternative extinguishing systems:<br \/>\n(Clean agents \u2013 Carbon dioxide extinguishing systems \u2013 Foam extinguishing systems \u2013 Dry and wet chemical extinguishing systems \u2013 Water mist systems, etc.).<br \/>\n&#8211; Standpipe and fire hose systems.<br \/>\n&#8211; Portable fire extinguishers.<br \/>\n&#8211; Fire alarm systems.<br \/>\n&#8211; Fire department connections.<br \/>\n&#8211; Fire pumps.<br \/>\n&#8211; Carbon monoxide detectors.<br \/>\n&#8211; Gas leak detection systems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 4:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Means of Egress<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; Egress requirements, including occupant load calculations, and determination of the number and capacity of egress components and emergency exits.<br \/>\n&#8211; Egress doors.<br \/>\n&#8211; Corridor requirements.<br \/>\n&#8211; Stair requirements.<br \/>\n&#8211; Ramp requirements.<br \/>\n&#8211; Emergency exit signage.<br \/>\n&#8211; Emergency lighting and egress illumination.<br \/>\n&#8211; Handrails.<br \/>\n&#8211; Guardrails.<br \/>\n&#8211; Requirements for interior exit stairways.<br \/>\n&#8211; Horizontal exits.<br \/>\n&#8211; Requirements for exterior exit stairways.<br \/>\n&#8211; Exit discharge.<br \/>\n&#8211; Exit courts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 5:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Requirements for Existing Buildings (Chapter 11)<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; Emergency and standby power systems.<br \/>\n&#8211; Motor fuel dispensing facilities (gasoline stations).<br \/>\n&#8211; High-piled combustible storage.<br \/>\n&#8211; Fire safety during demolition and construction works.<br \/>\n&#8211; Hot work (welding and cutting) requirements.<br \/>\n&#8211;
